Every day we find a plethora of musical creations & songs composed, which are catchy, soothing, enchanting and we get associated with it. Each individual either would like it either for listening or singing or dancing or reproducing it on a musical instrument.
I like to share how I perceive to execute the same using a Yamaha Keyboard.
Process
- Listening the composition repeatedly till I am able to memorise it to a reasonable extent
- Memorise individual components in a stanza
- A stanza comprises in most cases with:
- an introductory tune
- first verse
- voices used in it
- middle music and
- back to verse
- Relate each of the above component in terms of which sound reproduced in the keyboard will suite best. For example:
- male and female voices can be selected by flute, harmonium, violin, saxophone, musette, theatre etc
- background music needs to be identified with which theme it is associated, like:
- classical
- pop
- disco / modern disco
- dandiya
- indy dance
- Rajasthani
- kawali
- bhangra
- goan pop etc
- identifying the tempo of the background
- Combining all slowly and reproducing each component separately and then collectively in combination
- Try and achieve perfection to each individual combination.
